Today every body wants to use windows for a long time because when window will be corrupt due to virus, it will take some time to install windows,drivers and programs . So,here is a solution for those who are worried about it. Most of users may know about it but this post may be revision for them.
There are two ways to create a ghost image of your windows.
1 With windows 98 CD
If we are going to create ghost image with 98 CD then we should have ghost file to do this . To download this file read my post Download Free Ghost 11.5- First of download the ghost file and create a folder name ghost on your any partition like, D ,but not on C that is windows partition.Copy and paste your ghost file in this ghost named folder.
- Insert windows 98 CD into CD Rom Drive then restart your computer and select boot from CD/Rom,
- Now select Start computer with CD ROM support,
- In command mode write below,
- D: press enter,
- cd ghost press enter,
- ghost press enter to run ghost application ,
- Wait to open ghost window,
- Click OK and select exact like this >Local>>Partition>>To image ,
- Select your hard drive and click OK,
- Now select C and click OK,
- Click browse button and go to ghost folder in this folder write file name like,xp ghost etc and click save,
- Select fast from compressing options and click ok and then click yes to create image,now wait to complete the process after completion click restart.
2 With Hiren/Crystal Boot CD
- Insert CD into CD ROM and restart your computer,
- Select boot from CD ROM,
- Select backup /disk clone tool
- Select normal ghost to run ghost file
- Wait to open ghost window,
- Click OK and select exact like this >Local>>Partition>>To image
- Select your hard drive and click OK
- Now select C and click OK
- Click browse button and go to ghost folder in this folder write file name like,xp ghost etc and click save,
- Select fast from compressing options and click OK and then click yes to create image,now wait to complete the process after completion click restart.
How to restore window from image
- Insert boot CD in CD ROM and restart your computer,
- Select boot from CD ROM ,
- Follow any one of above given procedure to run ghost application ,
- Click OK and select exact like this >Local>>Partition>>From image ,
- Click browse button and go to ghost folder in this folder select ghost file and click open,
- Select source partition from image file primary and click OK
- Select local destination partition local 1 and click ok
- Select c partition and click ok
- Click yes to proceed the process of restore.
- Wait to complete the process and after completion restart computer
- You have made it.
